FAQ
What is a non-custodial wallet?
A non-custodial wallet means only you hold your private key — no company, server, or third party stores or has access to it. You have full control over your funds, and full responsibility for keeping your key safe.
Who operates PolygonPay?
PolygonPay is owned and operated by Multiplexly LLC . Multiplexly LLC is a California-based company. Entity No.: B20250273073.
What is a private key?
A private key is a secret 256-bit number that proves ownership of your wallet. Anyone who knows your private key can spend all the funds in that wallet. Never share it, screenshot it, or store it in cloud services like Google Drive or iCloud.
Does PolygonPay ever see my private key?
No. Key generation happens entirely inside your browser using the Web Crypto API. Your private key is never sent to any server. You can verify this by running PolygonPay offline — it will still generate valid keypairs.
Can I use this wallet with MetaMask or other wallets?
Yes. The generated private key is a standard Ethereum-compatible key. You can import it into MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Ledger Live, or any other wallet that supports private key import. Look for an "Import wallet" or "Import account" option.
What happens if I lose my private key?
Your funds will be permanently inaccessible. There is no password reset, no support team, and no way to recover a lost private key. Store it in at least two secure offline locations — such as a hardware wallet, encrypted USB drive, or written on paper stored safely.
